You can apply basic statistics with NumPy to an array of values:

- np.mean()
- np.median()
- np.std()
- np.corrcoef()
- np.sum()
- np.sort()
- np.round()
- np.random.normal()
- np.column_stack(())

NumPy is more efficient than looping through lists, in part because NumPy arrays are required to be of only one data type and so there is less overhead in making type conversions, etc.
